happy couple after a good date

Looking for “the one” can feel like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

You’re doing all the right things.

You put yourself out there.

You tell all your friends you’re single and looking.

You create an online profile for dating websites.

You make the effort.

But none of your efforts have worked.

You spend countless hours looking online. You’re fed up with people being dishonest in their profiles.

You’ve likely had a lot of disappointing first dates.

You can’t stand the thought of spending a night at the bar or club hoping to meet someone you want to spend your life with.

You Can’t Understand Why it is so Difficult to Find a Suitable Partner

You’ve met some people that looked promising…

But after a few dates, it didn’t work out.

It’s baffling, isn’t it? Why does something that seems so easy have to be so hard!

On the one hand, you feel fed up and want to stop trying because it’s painful to keep hoping.

On the other hand, you want so badly to meet that special someone to walk through life with.

You feel stuck.

Something is getting in the way of you “finding the one” — of having a happy and healthy relationship that feels good.

But you don’t know what that ‘something’ is.

Or, maybe you have a sense of why you can’t find someone to love, but this awareness is not helping you find the person.

Wouldn’t it be Nice to Discover What is Stopping You From Finding a Partner… and then Know Exactly What to Do to Find the Right Person?

Edel WalshHi, I am Edel Walsh, a relationship counsellor and coach from Love Done Well. For 13 years I have been helping people solve their relationship problems. I work with couples who who are struggling in their relationships and help them discover the tools to Do Love Well.

I also help individuals solve the problems that prevent them from having a fulfilling relationship, and work towards finding that special someone.

I am excited about offering my new workshop for singles called “Dating Done Well.” In this 2-day workshop, we will show you how to find that special someone, once and for all.

In this 2-day workshop, you’ll discover what is holding you back from finding that ideal person for you, and then take the steps towards attracting the perfect partner.

Here is What You’ll Learn in the Dating Done Well Workshop:

  • Stages of the Dating Process

Let’s face it; dating can be awkward. You’re not getting any younger and so you are eager you find a match soon. You’re impatient perhaps.

You want to find the person NOW!

But dating is a process, and it develops through a series of stages which are necessary steps to take before establishing a relationship. This workshop will show you how to identify and move through the Stages of Dating Done Well.

  • Dating as “Social” Intercourse

Dating conversations can be challenging, to say the least. What do you talk about and when should you bring up “those” difficult topics to discuss? Find out how to communicate and connect with your date in the most effective ways. You’ll discover how to be sure you’ve found the one you want to be with in a long-term relationship.

  • Why “Falling in Love” isn’t Sustainable

“Falling in love” feels great. Walking around with stars in your eyes makes you feel that everything is perfect in your life. But, while it feels good to fall in love and it can be part of developing a long term, committed relationship, “falling in love” with someone doesn’t mean you will be compatible as partners in the long run. In this workshop, you will find out why falling in love does not necessarily lead to “Making Love Last”.

  • The Science of Attachment Styles

There is now a wealth of knowledge in the neuroscience field that shows how early attachment experiences from childhood influence the partners you choose and how you relate to them.

You’ll learn about the science of attachment and discover your attachment style so that you’ll better understand yourself and the partners you choose when you’re dating.

  • Get Clarity on Your Wants, Needs and Values

The Dating Done Well workshop will help you get crystal clear on what you want and don’t want so you can avoid the “Accidental Partner” trap. All too often, people feel an attraction to someone and then “jump into” a relationship only to later discover that they are now “bonded’ to a person that is not right for them.

People frequently know what they don’t want in relationships, but getting clear on what they do want and then not settling for less than that, is more difficult. When you leave the Dating Done Well workshop, you’ll know exactly what you want, need and value in a partner.

  • Self-regulation in the Chemistry Department

Even when you find the right partner – or think you have – there are going to be things that the person does that disturb, irritate, confuse or anger you. You need to accept that no one is ever going to meet all your needs.

The Dating Done Well workshop will help you become aware of your “trigger issues” in relationships and know how to handle them right off the bat when you meet a person.

  • Healthy Dating Attitudes, Behaviours & Dynamics

It’s important that you have an understanding of what a healthy dating relationship looks like. We’ll explore how to be honest in the dating process and what happens when you are not.

You’ll discover how to tell if, when, and how you want to be physical or sexual with your date and how to communicate that appropriately to the person you are dating. We’ll discuss how to end dating relationships in healthy ways if you discover the person is not right for you.

  • Essential Dating Conversations You Need to Have Early On

If you want to find the best possible mate for yourself, you’ll have to learn to have some challenging conversations with your dates right up front. You’ll need to be clear on what you want, and communicate this to your date even if you are afraid. Being comfortable with stating what you want will help you filter out people early, so you don’t waste your precious time.

  • Establishing Healthy Dating Guidelines for Self

You’ll discover how to trust your intuition with your dates and then act upon it. You will also examine what you are doing right and, which dating behaviors you need to improve upon.

We will show you how to recognize when someone isn’t right for you (the “red flags” that you should never ignore). We will also show you how to set boundaries when your date engages in behaviors that are unacceptable to you.

What Comes After the Dating

Once you find the person you want to pursue a relationship with, then you’ll need to maintain that relationship as you get to know each other and grow together. In this workshop, you will learn about the Stages of Relationship Development so that you know what to expect as you move forward in your relationship together.
